Thank you for your interest in Sunset Hills USA / Alpen Ridge Australian Labradoodles. Alpen Ridge, LLC is owned by C. Sue Broady in Oregon and co-managed by Sunset Hills Australian Labradoodles in South Australia, a world-renown breeder of top quality Australian Labradoodles. Our miniature and medium lines are either imported from Australia, or from imported Australian bloodlines. Melinda at Sunset Hills has personally overseen the selection of breeding stock for our program here in the states.

All of our breeding stock is health screened, temperament tested and DNA typed. We have chosen top quality dogs to produce top quality puppies.

We have planned litters of miniature, small mediums and mediums in 2008. Miniatures are 13-16+ inches at the shoulder, around the size of a Cocker Spaniel. Mediums are 17-20+ inches at the shoulder, around the size of a Labrador retriever. Standards are 21+ inches, approximately the size of a standard poodle. There are three coat types: Hair/Hair fleece combo (some shedding), Fleece (non-shedding, allergy and asthma friendly), and Wool (non-shedding, allergy and asthma friendly).

All puppies are allotted in the order of the booking fees received. We do not take specific orders for a companion puppy from a mating pair, but use your application form to best place the puppies by the requirements you list, (unless we have only one litter that will fit your booking) depending on the sex, size and color requirements in your application.

Our waiting list is affected by the requirements listed on your application. Applications with a broader selection of acceptable choices (sex, coat type, color and size) have more chance of being filled earlier.

All our puppies are born in our home and are handled from the day they are born. We not only guarantee genetic health, but guarantee our puppies’ temperaments as we have very strict requirements for the temperaments of the breeding dogs in our program. We also give ongoing support to our puppy owners.

We can’t always accommodate visitors due to possible harmful exposure that can be brought in, but if you would like to visit Alpen Ridge, please contact us.
